The Dry Deciduous Scrub Vegetation of Poona District
Abstract
The scrub vegetation is not a natural type in Poona district. It is biotic community. The vegetation somewhat resembles a savannah. Bawdhan hills about 7 km. west and Walhe 60 km. south-east of Poona are described. Percentage occurrence of different species of trees, shrubs, climbers, herbs and grasses are given. The vegetation on different slopes of the hill has been compared. The herbaceous flora is seasonal, appearing mainly in the monsoons.Downloads
