A Contribution to the Botany of Ganganagar District, North Rajasthan

Abstract

The paper presents a preliminary account of the flora of Ganganagar district, North Rajasthan. Floristically the district is an integral part of north-west Rajasthan, but with the introduction of canal irrigation, many new species have migrated into the area. In this paper, there are 15 species which are new reports for the state of Rajasthan. Ganganagar is a very important agricultural district and in view of that, the weeds of the crops have been pointed out and marked with asterisks.
