Forest Flora of Nichlaul-IV. Trees
Abstract
This paper enlists the trees found in Nichlaul forest, Gorakhpur Division (U.P.). Geographical limits, topography, edaphic and climatic factors of the area, its vegetational composition, injurious factors, phenological behaviour of the common plants and an artificial key to the families as well as to the species are given. In all, 109 tree species belonging to 91 genera and 44 families are included, giving field observations, local names, habit, habitat, dominance and sociability. Flowering and fruiting seasons as well as collection numbers of plants are indicated.Downloads
