Algal Collections in Central National Herbarium (CAL)

Abstract

The paper enumerates the algal collection housed in Central National Herbarium (CAL). These are referable to 986 species belonging to 249 genera under 115 families spread over seven classes of algae viz., Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Chrysophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Phaeophyceae and Rhodophyceae.
