Additions to the angiospermic flora of Tamil Nadu from Anamalai Hills of Southern Western Ghats

Abstract

The present communication deals with the new distributional record of four less known endemic species, namely Cyclea fissicalyx Dunn (Menispermaceae), Impatiens macrocarpa Hook.f. (Balsaminaceae), Impatiens pandata E. Barnes (Balsaminaceae) and Meistera ghatica (K.G. Bhat) Škorničk. & M.F. Newman (Zingiberaceae) to the state of Tamil Nadu. Detailed bibliographic citation, description, flowering and fruiting period and photographic plates have been provided facilitate easy identification of these four species.
