Notes on taxonomy, distribution and threat status assessment of Habenaria andamanica Hook.f.- an endemic terrestrial orchid from Andaman Islands

Abstract

Taxonomy of Habenaria andamanica Hook.f. [Orchidaceae-Orchidoideae-Orchidiinae] has been studied. It is an endemic species confined to the Andaman group of Islands. It has been assessed as ‘Endangered’ by applying the IUCN guidelines.
